Great progress continues to be made on all three sites within the Enterprise Zone. At London Road North, the procurement process to appoint a joint venture development partner is to be launched on 11th March at the MIPIM property exhibition. Interested parties can register as a Harlow supplier at www.mytenders.org and download the tender documentation relating to London Road North, which needs to be returned by April 17th. The Council is seeking to appoint a development partner to create a new Science Park over 25 acres of land which will provide a variety of spaces for businesses in the Life Sciences, ICT and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.
Demolition works are well underway at London Road South as reported elsewhere in this newsletter. This will pave the way for the refurbishment of 20,000 square metres of Grade A office space in a new business park along with the construction of a new data centre campus. The demolition works are on track to complete in June with the refurbishment programme commencing in the autumn.
At Templefields, the installation of superfast broadband supplies to the businesses in River Way is now about 90% complete. The remaining businesses will be connected in the spring of this year. Work will then start in the autumn on the construction of a new access road to connect River Way with the Cambridge Road to the east. This will significantly improve transport connections for this end of the industrial estate.
