Last week Harlow Enterprise Zone attended the world’s largest annual property exhibition, MIPIM, in Cannes. This brings together approximately 20,000 property professionals and showcases development opportunities as it brings together developers, investors, occupiers, architects and project promoters etc. It is a great opportunity to raise the profile of an area or project and seek development partners.
Harlow Enterprise Zone exhibited at MIPIM as part of the London Stansted Cambridge Consortium (see www.lscc.co), promoting the growth opportunities within this corridor. Specifically, we were seeking to promote the London Road North site to potential development partners and to raise the profile of the Harlow Enterprise Zone. As part of this, Andrew Bramidge (Project Director for the Enterprise Zone) was invited to take part in a panel discussion on the growth potential of the London Stansted Cambridge Corridor along with Andrew Harrison, MD of Stansted Airport, Sir Robin Wales, Mayor of Newham and John McGill, Director of LSCC. This debate generated a lot of interest in the region and has helped to place it on the major UK development opportunities.
MIPIM was a successful venture for Harlow Enterprise Zone. The event generated significant profile for Harlow on an international stage and good contacts were made with a number of potential development partners and masterplanning architects. These contacts will be followed up with one to one meetings over the coming weeks and they will help to identify potential future long term investment and development partners for the Enterprise Zone.
